Acupuncture

Natalie is a fully qualified Acupuncture and Chinese herbalist, she graduated in 2004 from the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine Reading, UK and completed her Masters in Chinese herbs in 2011, at the University of Westminster, London.

What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is the insertion of fine needles into the skin. Because these needles are so fine patients feel little sensation on insertion and often feel a deep sense of relaxation. Most are so relaxed they often fall asleep in the treatment room.

How does Acupuncture work?

Treating with needles promotes the natural circulation of Qi or energy and blood around the body, promoting the blood flow and allowing the body to release enables a body to come back into a natural state of balance, that then lessens the hold of symptoms allowing them to reduce and drop away.

Understanding Your Condition

Natalie will ask questions about your condition and your body in general, also using Chinese medical skills of palpation, tongue and pulse taking to further refine diagnosis.

How long does a treatment last ?

A treatment can last between 45mins to 1 hour.  Every case is individual and their is a benefit and depth of understanding gained towards ones own body at each treatment, however it is more common that most conditions will require several sessions, usually carried out on a 1x a week basis.
